The Portico at Ashburnham House, Westminster (c.1710-20)

The PORTICO or TEMPLE was built in the gardens of ASHBURNHAM HOUSE in the late 1660s.

The edifice – sometimes attributed to Inigo Jones – was possibly one of LONDON’S earliest classical garden pavilions.
